About Jason Hanold
As founder of Hanold Associates LLC, Jason Hanold relies on the human resources lessons learned over the course of his career to lead the company. Established in 2010, Hanold Associates is a retained executive search firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Jason Hanold serves in a number of capacities with the company, including Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner. The firm touts worldwide connections, with increased efficiency due to the size of the company. Hanold Associates is the culmination of Jason Hanold's experiences throughout his collegiate and professional career.
Jason Hanold attended Illinois State University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. He earned a Master of Science in Communication from Northwestern University. These were the first of many experiences that focused on the role of communication in relation to leadership. One of his first employment opportunities was with one of the largest accounting firms in the world. He served as Americas Director for the Executive Leadership Recruiting branch of Deloitte, a company with over 180,000 employees.
After four successful years with the company, he joined McKinsey & Company in New York City. Mr. Hanold was named Director of Recruiting for the global management consulting firm. He worked for the company until 2002, when he joined the Whirlpool Corporation as Global Director of Talent. He was responsible for the discovery of executives who displayed strong leadership skills and business aptitude. Three years later, he was hired by Russell Reynolds Associates as Managing Director and Practice Leader for the Human Resources Officers Practice.
The practical experience gained during his career, combined with a Master of Science in Leadership Interaction & Influence from Northwestern University, gave Jason Hanold the impetus to launch his own business. Hanold Associates draws on his unique abilities to be a highly successful boutique executive search firm.
Jason Hanold is an active mountain climber and enjoys outdoor activities. He serves on the Board of Directors for Big City Mountaineers, a nonprofit organization helping teens transform their lives through outdoor experiences. He also enjoys membership in the Sierra Club, the Chicago Botanic Garden, and the Northwestern University Alumni Association.
